Managing Partner and TSI Founder
Dan Feely has over 25 years of expertise helping growth-oriented organizations and higher education institutions achieve their strategies while improving their profitability, customer satisfaction and ability to scale. Dan works with client executives directly as he helps lead or provide subject matter expertise or quality assurance role on a large number of TSI’s business strategy, customer experience, technology strategy and change-oriented engagements.
Dan’s forte’ includes creatively improving organizational performance, both with and without the introduction of new technology, to achieve sustainable operational, management and strategic gains. Dan has successfully completed projects and has substantial experience in many industries and business environments. Dan also teaches Process Improvement courses in the Executive Education Departments on behalf of the University of California – Berkeley, Michigan State University – Broad School of Management, University of Chicago and Colorado State University.
Dan received his Bachelor of Science with Academic and Athletic Honors in Operations Management from Northern Illinois University (NIU). After graduating from NIU, Dan was recruited and employed by Accenture (Andersen Consulting at the time) both in Chicago and London.
Dan, his wife Anne and three girls live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. Dan is actively involved in a number of community activities and Executive Boards including Hope International, Northern Illinois University, the Illinois Technology Association, Barrington High School Incubator and the boards of several growing companies in Chicago and on the west coast. Dan is also a member of the Executives’ Club of Chicago and the Turnaround Management Association.
Dan has a 30-year track record of success as a corporate and consulting leader driving and delivering major performance improvement, transformation and change initiatives across multiple industries and organizations. He has delivered strategic and operational change as a CFO, CIO, CMO and advisory services partner for start-ups, middle market growth companies and Fortune 50 industry leaders. Dan has significant skills and experience in business/IT strategy ERP selection/implementation, process improvement, portfolio/program/project management, organizational change management, business case development, shared services, outsourcing, cost reduction, finance/IT function optimization, SOX compliance and asset valuation. Earlier in his career, Dan led a 25 person process improvement group for a Fortune 50 corporation.
Dan received his MBA from Northern Illinois University, a BSBA in Accounting from St. Louis University and is a CPA (license not active) in the state of Illinois. He has taught college classes in business and career management and has served as an elected representative on his local school board. His industry experience includes intellectual property legal services (includes BPO), insurance, banking, healthcare (provider and payor), biotech, retail and specialty pharmacy, industrial distribution, manufacturing, utilities, telecom, electric and gas utilities, higher education and local government. His many projects have included multiple streams related to the integration of people, process and technology. Dan’s prior employment experience includes leadership roles at Ernst & Young, Infosys, Navigant Consulting, Arthur Andersen and Allstate Insurance.
Manager of Client Solutions
Jeff is an energetic self-starter, who is people-oriented, sets high standards and enjoys a challenge. He is a results-oriented management professional with expertise in business reporting and analysis, strategic planning and implementation, process improvement, and business development. Jeff has built and motivated teams to execute corporate projects and priorities within challenging timelines and expectations. He has a strong ability to communicate project objectives from a business perspective and a technical perspective ensuring that all parties involved share the same vision. Combining these skills with an easily understood communication style and positive demeanor, Jeff helps foster a productive, cooperative and efficient project environment to bring effective business solutions to fruition.
Jeff’s career has spanned the education and retail industries. Prior to working with TSI, Jeff had 6 years of experience within in the Education sector. He has worked as an operations and admissions manager for a major private for-profit University. Jeff worked with leaders and students for both online and onsite enrollments.
Jeff graduated with an MBA with honors from DeVry University’s Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a member of the Chicagoland Chapter of the IIBA. He lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with his wife Becky and two kids.
Higher Education Business/Program Analyst
Jessica joined the TSI team in 2017 specializing in higher education. She’s currently a Ph.D. candidate at Michigan State University in the Department of Higher Education Administration. Prior to joining the TSI team, Jessica worked as an independent consultant with a range of post-secondary education providers including research universities, bootcamps, and edtech start-ups. Jessica has a M.S. in Molecular Biology and six years of experience in both scientific and social science research.
Jessica has four years of experience working in molecular biology research and authored several publications in various peer-reviewed journals. She spent two years working as a Research Assistant with the Center for the Integration of Research Teaching and Learning (CIRTL), a National Science Foundation-funded network of research universities aimed at improving undergraduate STEM education. She has presented her work with the CIRTL Network at national conferences and published papers in peer-reviewed higher education journals.
In addition to her work as a researcher, Jessica has held many leadership positions during her graduate studies at MSU. She served on two President-appointed committees and as an Executive Board member of the Council of Graduate Students. She spent two years on MSU’s Athletics Council and chaired MSU’s President’s Advisory Committee on Disability Issues working across campus units to solve problems and advocate for people with disabilities on the MSU campus. Jessica has a solid foundation comprised of formal education and practical experience in higher education that allow her to understand the complex needs of higher education institutions.
She also has a passion for accessibility in education. She has consulted both traditional higher education providers and bootcamps through the accommodation process, resulting in successful outcomes for students with disabilities.
Jessica earned her Master’s Degree from Purdue University and her undergraduate degree from Butler University where she was a four year scholar-athlete and starting goalkeeper on Butler’s Women’s Soccer Team. Her background both as a student and as a researcher/observer gives her an invaluable perspective when working on higher education engagements.
Ryan joined TSI in 2016 and is contributing as a Business Analyst, specializing in process improvement, ERP software selection and implementation, business development, sales and marketing, and recruiting. Ryan is a results-oriented, growth-oriented professional constantly striving to help companies better position themselves in the marketplace. He has experience in life sciences/biotech and graduated with his BS from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in Leadership & Management.
Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager
Joe is a seasoned consultant with a deep blend of industry, business process and technology expertise. Provided below is a synopsis of Joe’s expertise:
- Management Consultant to energy, insurance, financial services, consumer products, and government. Works with executive business leaders to facilitate strategy & planning, process analysis & engineering, product/project definition, release planning, and assessment/advisory services.
- Project Manager/Delivery Lead of custom software development projects; vast experience with globally distributed and diverse teams; able to take ownership of all aspects of governance; all phases of SDLC, working with complex products and various technologies
- Enterprise PMO Strategist & Transition Specialist – develops and manages Program Portfolios derived from business strategy & planning. Manages PMO; assembles the applicable components of PMBOK, GP, and other best practices to fit the specific needs of each client. Manages the transition to governance models that perform and are measured in terms that are relevant to business strategy.
- Works in private sector as Principal/Client Manager for clients running custom software development and systems integration projects

Kevin is a senior IT executive with significant experience delivering effective business-driven computer systems and global logistic support services. He has been a key member of senior management teams with a proven ability to contribute to the overall business success through his technology leadership and the development of cutting-edge, cost-effective, service-oriented IT departments.
Kevin’s career includes work with businesses of all sizes from entrepreneur through billion dollar revenues. With more than 30 years of experience, especially in distribution/logistics, electronics, consumer products, private and family business, and hospitality, he has transformed the business processes using the appropriate technologies for each business. Additionally, Kevin has been the senior technology officer (VP, SVP, CIO) at several companies over the past 21 years.
Kevin graduated with an MM/MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and was chosen by his classmates to be their class speaker at graduation alongside Rep. Richard “Dick” Gephardt (D-MO). He is a member of the Society of Information Management, the Association for IT Professionals, and several IT networking communities.
Kevin and his wife Dr. Jamie S. Reilly, Ed.D. live in the western suburbs of Chicago. They have two children and two grandchildren that they dote on.
Caroline Chang is an experienced professional in Higher Education advancement. She was a fundraiser for seven years before moving from field staff to advancement services. She has extensive experience in gift and records processing, and has also led a database conversion. A self-professed nerd, she enjoys management just as much as she loves creating reports. She excels at getting the best out of people, and figuring out how and when to use technology to optimize performance.
Caroline received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stanford University, and her MBA from Santa Clara University. She worked for Macy’s California in its management training program after graduating from Stanford, and then returned to her Alma Mater to work in the Undergraduate Advising Center. Caroline joined the Office of Development as director of student and young alumni development, during which she worked as director of annual giving for the Stanford Medical Center before discovering her true passion for Advancement Services.
Caroline volunteers professionally with CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education), and received her CASE Crystal Apple in August 2016. She has chaired the Summer Institute for Advancement Services for the past three years, and chaired the second ever Institute for Advancement Services in Australia in November 2016. She has also presented at user group conferences for both Advance (now Ellucian) and Blackbaud, and at AASP (Association for Advancement Services Professionals).
Project Manager / Business Analyst + Process Consultant
Glory Borgeson is a business transformation and program leader with more than 20 years’ experience developing consultative, trusted relationships with clients across diverse industries including insurance, telecommunications, energy/oil & gas, airlines, waste management, and consumer lending.
During her career she has become adept at aligning internal messaging, team motivation, vendor requirements, and customer needs by applying expertise developed through numerous engagements, spanning E-learning, accounting, marketing, business transformation, productivity improvement, cost reduction, and instructional design. She has been trusted to both assume leadership of and rescue projects in midstream and spearhead organizational change, while acting as a primary liaison between executive teams and employees, coordinating efforts with user teams, re-engineering business processes, overseeing training documentation, and shepherding ambitious communications efforts.
Glory and a team reporting to her were an instrumental part of the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) team at United Air Lines when SOX compliance initiated in the US. The team was involved in all SOX phases, including controls narrative and flow diagram documentation, audits in assigned areas, and remediation accounting controls work.
Glory received her Bachelor of Arts, double majoring in accounting and business administration, at Augustana College. She began her career in accounting and later transitioned to software, ERP implementations, and other related areas. She has been trained in business coaching, has written many articles, and is an accomplished author of books in both the business and health genres.
Monica Fischer, CPA
Senior Consultant and Project Manager
Monica Fischer is an implementation and reporting expert with a solid process and administration
background. With over 20 years of application consulting experience, Monica is accustomed to managing multiple deadlines and leading/collaborating with teams comprised of both client and 3rd party personnel. With a Big 4 accounting background, she is well qualified to help users not only determine their application needs but also to ensure those needs are met by the deployment properly and on time. She can not only plan and manage a deployment, but she can also execute the deployment with technical knowledge of reporting and customization in a variety of environments. Monica is particularly skilled in custom report definition and development. She understands how to leverage one of the most important assets of any company – its data.
Monica graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting in 1992. Shortly thereafter, she became CPA and is registered in the state of Illinois.
Senior Consultant and Manufacturing SME
Steve has over 25 years of business, manufacturing and IT expertise focused on helping clients as a global quality, reliability, and continuous improvement leader with demonstrated success aligning and building business processes consistent with corporate strategy and objectives, across multiple industries. Steve leads teams to align, simplify, and strengthen business processes, remove waste, integrate software/ERP solutions, and substantially reduce operating costs. Excellent relationship-building, team-building, training, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Steve has deep expertise in: Six Sigma, APQP/PPAP, Lean Thinking, Quality Management, Toyota Production System, Process Mapping and SAP.

Steve has his MS, Mechanical Engineering (control systems), Purdue University as well as his BS, Aerospace Engineering (structures), Purdue University.
Steve has significant expertise in military contract manufacturing companies, including McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Company, Recon Optical, Goodrich Corporation, Hamilton Sundstrand, and UTC Aerospace Systems.
Senior Organizational and Quality Change Leader
Mike McHale has over 25 years of business expertise focused on helping clients implement Process Engineering, Quality and Best Practices, Statistical Client and Employee Loyalty and Cost of Quality initiatives. His credentials include having been certified as an ASQ Certified Quality Auditor and ISO Lead Assessor, a two time member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners (1990 & 2000), a member of the American Society for Quality, the Society for Human Resource Management, (achieved the highest level Senior Professional Human Resources Manager, SPHR, and the American Society for Training and Development. Mike has a BA in Business Administration from Southland University, St. Louis, MO. He has extensive trainer and implementation experience in distribution center processes, six sigma and total quality tools, and change management. Mike is an outstanding presenter and public speaker whose focus is delivering value, profitability and client loyalty.
Richard B. Stump
Senior Quality Change Leader
Richard B. Stump is a senior quality consultant who helps clients to ensure successful outcomes for
- implementation of quality systems to Six Sigma Quality and ISO 17025 (testing laboratories);
- elimination of product defects through problem-solving methodologies, such as Six Sigma Quality;
- initiation of business process improvement (BPR) activities. Dick also address needs in the area of Product Conformity Assessment to ISO/IEC Guide 65.
Dick has held QA Engineering, Manufacturing Superintendent and quality management positions in high-tech, nuclear reactor structural and aircraft / aerospace high-technology components, including the Space Shuttle APU. He is comfortable and effective working with small-sized (less than 50 employees) companies on up to larger-sized companies of over 1,000. Mr. Stump’s Six-Sigma Methodology consulting experience began at Rath & Strong Consultants (Lexington, MA), who assembled the techniques that are key parts of the original Six Sigma Techniques developed by Motorola.
Higher Education Strategist and Project Manager
Rich is an experienced IT leader and Project Manager. Rich has over thirty years’ experience in information and communications technology at a world-class academic institution with highly valued perspectives on the strategic and operational issues supporting higher education. For the past five years, Rich served as Chief Information Officer of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, an organization supporting an alumni base of over 700,000 graduates worldwide. Most recently, he co-sponsored the effort to replace the infrastructure and systems supporting University Advancement on the Chicago, Springfield and Urbana campuses.
Prior to his arrival at the Alumni Association, Rich led a central campus IT support unit whose scope included network management, configuration management, central directory and electronic communications, application software development, software distribution, and web/database hosting services. The unit was funded entirely on a fee for service basis, included standard service level agreements, and extended consulting with clients on strategic IT service planning and projects. The infrastructure, directory services, and electronic communication applications developed by his teams are the core of the unified communications strategy for voice, data and collaboration employed by the Urbana campus today.
Rich has built a solid foundation of experience through a combination of educational and work experience beginning as a data analyst, managing IT services and innovative projects, and developing a deep understanding of the people, resources and architectures that enable delivery of IT services to meet institutional missions.
Organizational Change Management – Senior Consultant
Neesa has led many engagements for clients going through significant organizational change. Neesa is a strategist, consultant, executive and team coach, facilitator, writer, trainer and speaker. She helps companies build value by facilitating communications and change to better align brand promise, leadership, corporate culture, and employee behavior.
Formerly the Director of Learning and Development for the Chicago Sun-Times News Group, Neesa has consulted to dozens of companies, not-for-profits, healthcare institutions and agencies–including long range support for change initiatives at BP, Allianz Insurance, Underwriters Labs, American Airlines and Norwest Mortgage. Other projects include an innovative participatory management effort at Sears; and additional consulting, coaching and training for the BP Foundation, Case IH, the Economic Club of Chicago, Allstate Insurance, Humana, Kraft, PACE Bus and more. She taught Narrative for Business at the University of Chicago Graham School, and has been a regular learning team leader and coach at national Linkage Organization Development Conferences. She is a Certified Coach from the Neuroleadership Institute; is certified in assessment tools including the Polarity Assessment, the MBTI, and HBDI; and is a Master Practitioner of NLP. She was trained in change management by LaMarsh & Associates and has worked with change tools from Prosci and other systems. Her background also includes work with Innovation Associates in Framingham, MA, where concepts of the Learning Organization were developed and she helped focus projects on results.
