What We’re Doing:
Exciting news; our Higher Education practice recently broke an important barrier at TSI. This practice is now more than 50% of our firm’s total business. We are working with amazing institutions, both public and private, as they strive to transform, become more efficient, select and implement
better technology, manage change, define and implement key strategies. We have come a long way in the 10+ years and we’re finding (as we had hoped) that some of our experience in corporate side, at times, really does help us test and challenge some practices that have been
in higher education for many years.
What We’re Looking Forward To:
Network for Change and Continuous Education Annual Conference (July 18 – 20) As part of our growth, we are fortunate that we get to speak
and present at different conferences. NCCI is one of them. The Network for Change and Continuous Innovation’s (NCCI) is focused on transformation in higher education. And while the NCCI continues to grow, in some parts of the country is not too well known yet. Check them out, including their
upcoming annual conference in Long Beach, CA July 18 – 20, 2018.
Our team at TSI continues to grow – check us out – Team TSI
What We’re Sharing:
We are creating a virtual job board to help some of our great clients with hiring needs that they have. Please check out these opportunities and share them with your networks.

Change Readiness Survey
Is your institution ready to take on the changes you are planning over the next few years? When I started my work, first as a volunteer assisting my alma mater leading an affinity group, I actually had this thought “Change must be really easy in higher education, everyone seems so nice.”
I hope you didn’t laugh out loud when you read this. I’ve learned a lot over the past decade and have come to understand how thick and siloed the walls are between departments, units, colleges and campuses. I firmly believe that change is significantly harder in higher education than in the corporate world. I think that now, with reduced resources, change has become even harder still. A few years ago we developed a change readiness survey based on TSI’s 23+ years of experience in this area. In an effort to predict and prepare for change, we have
developed this easy to use, online organizational change readiness assessment tool that incorporates the top 6 factors that we believe are the most critical to bring change to life. This tool is intended for you to use and assess how ready your organization is for organizational change. Let’s get started!
What We’re Reading:
As the college admission process transitions away from using grade point averages or SAT scores to admit students, how universities view merit is evolving as well. Jeff Selingo unpacks the adaptations higher education institutions are navigating this “merit crisis.” Read Selingo’s piece here. Higher Education Institutions and the systemic processes within it are changing and TSI is there every step of the way. Let’s navigate these changes together.
