The TSI team brings a focused skill-set to nonprofits and government agencies seeking to overcome key challenges.
Many organizations we speak with grapple with an uncertain funding climate, and are forced to juggle internal resources while seeking to maintain their missions and service delivery.
By teaming with TSI, nonprofits and government agencies improve core areas such as fundraising and development. TSI also provides expertise to help organizations get a handle on board governance, succession planning, IT infrastructure and performance measurement.
We understand the importance of strategic use of finite resources, so you can concentrate on your core mission. TSI offers best practices to transform your nonprofit or agency into a well-performing organization – one that streamlines operations, cuts waste and better serves its constituents.
Nonprofit, Government Success Stories
- IT Consulting, Organizational Change Management
TSI completed a project for a large municipal government to create an IT infrastructure organization to support the City/County’s enterprise system (PeopleSoft) and provide shared services to the user departments and agencies. Teaming with the agency, TSI created an overall organization structure, defined roles and responsibilities and service level agreements in addition to processes to analyze, prioritize and schedule request work. A significant element of this project included addressing the political obstacles that prevented the senior directors from adopting the suggested changes.
- National Employee Benefits Program
The Department of Health and Social Services for a major European country looked for guidance in a significant project impacting government employees. TSI conducted the preliminary systems design and detailed design for the nation’s unemployment benefit system. The information system would eventually be used by thousands of government employees to administer unemployment benefit and align job opportunities with unemployed workers.
- Transportation System Improvements
A major US city contracted with TSI for a process improvement project around port management information systems. TSI designed and developed a cargo tracking system for the major US port. This system was built in COBOL, VSAM and DB2. TSI used Andersen’s Method/1 methodology as the approach to develop the requirements, design, develop and test the application.
